And Here We Go...

Because everyone except for my little sister got to go camping in some form or another this summer, we are taking a family camping trip so she gets the opportunity, too. Luckily it is only one night, though. The worst part, in my opinion, is that we miss the women's all-around gymnastics competition!!! I'm heartbroken, but maybe I can record it and watch it when I get back... :P Go Shawn! :D

Oh, piece of news: I now have a sort-of job, more like fun thing that I get paid to do. I (officially now) get to write the Bruin Bulletin column in the Geneva Times, since Marc finally called me this afternoon. :) I'm excited, but for some strange reason sort of nervous, even though I love to write, and I've known about this opportunity for quite a while now. Main emotion though, excitement! You know what this means, though: School is starting very soon, which kind of puts a damper on that happiness and excitement. :P Oh well, I guess you have to have lemons to make lemonade.

I can now count the number of days left of summer on one hand. That is sad news. Speaking of which, I think I might have some mild form of SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder). I know that symptoms usually appear around winter (although sometimes summer), but what about the end of summer, beginning of school? All I know is I've had real mood issues lately, along with no appetite (more like disdain for food, which is very unlike me), lethargy, and extreme sleeping-in. Maybe it's just denial, but in 5 days I'll have to come to terms with school, one way or another. Hm, maybe that means I should actually be trying to get some sleep now, since it's 1:13 am... My system will have quite the shock come next Monday morning. :P
