My Gracious!

I really am falling a bit behind on my blogging, aren't I? I sort of get the feeling that this is how the rest of the school year will be, if not even longer gaps between posts.

First week of school. Goodness, it felt like at least 3 weeks. I was so happy when Friday came yesterday, but now my weekend has come and gone in the blink of an eye. I think I had time to do just about zero homework today (and yesterday), so unfortunately tomorrow is looking kind of busy in that sense, plus doing my article (whoops), plus it was already looking busy with other stuff anyway. :P I really need to go back to planning a nap time for myself! Those were the days...Not that I even followed my nap time plan for that long when I did have it, though.

Oh, announcement! I have two job interviews on Monday. :D Hopefully something good will come of them.

Friday night football was a sad loss, 6 to 28. I snuck over for the last quarter or so of the game, and it was so weird not to have my sax with me. Being a pep band groupie doesn't really suit me; I don't care what you say, Q. Although that meant I could've actually talked to John, I was too pathetic to actually do anything except say something really stupid about drum stuff to him at the end of the game. Man, I suck at talking to guys I (maybe-sorta-kinda) like! He must have thought I was a total idiot, darn it. Yay for sucky first impressions. :P Okay, rant about new guy over. The dance after the game was okay, but it was definitely NOT the black light stomp. That one is probably my favorite after-game dance of the year, and I cannot wait for December, for that very reason!

I'm quite enjoying this year so far. Aside from the fact that it seems to be dragging along at slower than a snail's pace, that is. My classes are pretty great (especially ballroom :D), and I feel more confident and outgoing as a person. I've actually developed some new friendships and a (possible small) crush within a week, too! My, if this keeps up, it'll be quite a fun year... :)

Well you're not the only one having guys-notice-you troubles :) I feel just as frustrated! You'd think it'd be easy trying to talk to some cute guy, but if I were to sit with him in class, it would be so obvious what I was doing :P Gosh.
