Footwork, Freeway, Fruit Salsa and FRIDAY!!

This will probably be a somewhat boring post, but I felt like blogging instead of pre-cal at the moment, so you get a fairly random post. :)

My first ballroom test was this morning, and I was dumb and didn't pick a partner until this morning. Things still went okay, though, we only didn't get to two or three of the steps, and they were really easy ones comparatively, so hopefully it doesn't hurt my score too much (I say "my" because my partner was actually scored with someone else, he was just nice enough to dance with me for mine). Anyway, I like the waltz, but I'm ready for something else now! :)

So today's session of roading went much better than my last couple times. We drove on the freeway today, and I thought I would be much more terrified, especially since I was the first to drive. Maybe it's because Dad made me drive up and down a stretch of it a couple hours before; I was DEFINITELY flipping out over that. I seriously felt like I was going to burst into tears, I was so scared. It didn't help that this lame little blue car in front of me was going like 45, just daring me to hit him, while weaving in and out of his lane, too. And then I remembered I could pass him, which made things a little better, but then this SUV starting tailgating me and cutting me off when I wanted to pass. Ugh. Oh well. It was really nerve-wracking at first, but by the time I got on with my instructor, it wasn't quite such a big deal anymore; I actually sort of liked it, how strange am I?

Since there were three of us driving, we went down to Santaquin and got homemade ice cream from the Red Barn! :D I love that place, it's so bucolic and...yeah. Just cute. :) Plus they have amazing ice cream. ;) They had this fruit salsa stuff out for people to try, in peach and cherry. I tried the cherry salsa, even though I typically don't like salsa, and WOW was it spicy. Maybe it just seemed that way to me because I don't do spicy very often, but it was a really interesting taste. Like salsa with a hint of fruitiness. I'm just glad I had ice cream to wash it out of my mouth. ;)

And guess what? It's FRIDAY tomorrow!! :D :D Which means the day after that is NO SCHOOL. And the day after that. Hopefully during that time I can find myself a dress for next weekend...I mean if I have to I'll wear my prom dress, but it's really not much of a fall color...haha oh wow I'm being silly, I thought I didn't care about things like seasonal colors! :P Maybe it's because I'm soo tired at the moment. *yawn Okay, going back to my homework now, so that I CAN head to bed pretty soon. :)
